Some managers are respected, and some not. To a large extent managers succeed, and are able to create loyalty in their staff through the use of a set of very important skills. We call these skills "responsiveness" skills.

In a nutshell the responsive manager is seen as assisting employees to do their jobs, understanding the employees, and willing to do what is necessary to help them succeed. But there's more.
