Verbal abuse is common in our society. Some abuse, like swearing, yelling or insulting is obvious. But a lot of abuse is more subtle, but even more damaging to relationships.

This helpcard explains what constitutes subtle verbal abuse, and helps you identify if subtle verbal abuse is affecting your relationships at home and at work. Use it to identify it in other people, so you can surface it, and address it, or, perhaps more importantly, to identify ways that you communicate that are harmful, destructive, and inadvertently damaging.
